DRAMAtical Murder: The Animation (ドラマティカル マーダー Doramatikaru Mādā) is an animation series based on the original BL Visual Novel. On March 23rd 2014, Nitro+Chiral announced that DRAMAtical Murder would would get an anime adaption by studio NAZ, which was later released on July 06, 2014.[1][2]
Plot
The story follows the Common Route of the first visual novel, as well as the individual character routes with slight differences. A new character, Takahashi, was also introduced as Toue's personal assistant. Despite its source material being of the BL genre, there is little to no romance between the male characters, as is common with TV-aired adaptions.

The series contains 12 episodes total with an extra episode released as an OVA, which covers the bad endings of the original games.
Music
The music for the anime was composed by Yuuki Hayashi. The opening theme is 「SLIP ON THE PUMPS」 by GOATBED, while the first ending theme is 「BOWIE KNIFE」 by the same artist, which is used for the episodes 1 - 6 and 11.
Each episode from 7 to 12 features a different ending theme, for the characters' respective episodes, sung by the artists that performed the ending themes for DRAMAtical Murder Re:connect. "BY MY SIDE" and "Lullaby Blue" by Ito Kanako are used for episodes 7 and 9, respectively. "Felt" by Seizi Kimura is used for episode 8, "Soul Grace" by VERTUEUX for episode 10, and 天使達 by GOATBED for episode 12.
Release
A DVD/Blu-ray set was released on December 24, 2014 with all twelve episodes, along with an original soundtrack and a drama CD titled "Welcome to Dramatical Tea Shop Cyan Moon" (ドラマティカル喫茶 ・ シアンムーンへようこそ Dramatical Kissa Cyan Moon he Yōkoso). A special OVA called "Data xx: Transitory" was included as well.
